The goal of I AM GIRL is to create and foster girl-friendly school environments and see 25,000 girls and young women supported, nurtured and developed within the Fields of Life school network by 2020.

The I AM GIRL initiative is committed to ensuring girls are empowered to complete their education. Therefore, they can grow into strong, healthy young women. And that, in time, their children will have the same opportunities.

I AM GIRL is a health education initiative, passionate about educating both boys and girls, men and women, within our school network in East Africa to address the challenges faced by young girls today.

Some of the challenges addressed through this initiative include:

• Menstrual Hygiene
• Gender Equality
• Gender Violence
• School drop out rates

At Fields of Life, we believe all girls are entitled to dignity and a future. We also believe girls have the potential to be change agents in their families, communities and nations.
