'Burglar Bill' in 21 scenes · 20 February 2021

DSO provides information, help and activities for children with Down’s Syndrome and their families in the Oxfordshire area. We offer Speech and Language therapy, a supportive network of people with a wealth of experience, and friendship at organised social events for children and adults of all ages.

Story

We were accepted into the DSO family before we even moved to Oxfordshire.  During the pandemic their support has been even more noticeable and even more appreciated.  From online speech and language lessons, to online parties, choir and parent training sessions. They've offered it all over the past year and have made the isolation and stress just that little bit easier to deal with.

DSO, like all charities, have faced fundraising constraints over the past year so in the run up to World Down's Syndrome Day on 21st March every family have been challenged to raise £21 on the theme of 21.

Seb loves dressing up and I bought him a 'Burglar Bill' top.  Before long him and Celeste were running around the house playing Burlgars.  This gave me an idea.  Why not transform the classic book "Burglar Bill' into a film in 21 scenes?

We cannot promise flawless acting, beautiful cinematography, high production values or even the stars knowing their lines.  However, we think this will be as fun for you to watch as it is to make.

Every little counts.  Just £2 from 200 friends goes a long way.
