Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Every year I watch the London Marathon in awe of everyone who takes part. To mark turning 30 in 2019 and the events 40th anniversary, I thought I would finally take the plunge and be apply for a place. Marie Curie were kind enough to offer me a place on their team, after I have done several other events for them and worked at Cardiff and the Vale Hospice for nearly 5 years as a nurse! Now over 3 years later I will finally get my chance to run it.
I appreciate that times are hard for a lot of people at the moment, but I hope that you can spare every penny to help support me and Marie Curie in reaching the £2000 target!
It will be a huge challenge as I haven’t run in an event for over 6 years, and I have started putting in the miles of training that is needed to complete this mammoth task! A delay due to the Coronavirus won’t stop the training, whilst fitting it in around still working as a nurse and lecturer.. However, it is nothing in comparison to what the patients and families that need Marie Curie’s services undergo, and I hope that the money raised on this page and through this event will be able to continue supporting the work they do nationwide! Please give what you can!
