Sam Sterry - The Big Sleep Out to Support Gloucester City Mission page

The Big Sleep Out to Support Gloucester City Mission · 9 October 2021
On the 10th of October is World Homeless Day - on the evening of the 9th I will be spending a night at Eastgate street (Gloucester), in a doorway with nothing but a piece of cardboard and sleeping bag all funds raised will Gloucester City Mission.
My night will start from 8 pm through to 5/6 am.
This year will be my second year where I will be attending alone. The feeling of sleeping somewhere with a group of unknown people is only a small test of what vulnerable people go through on a daily basis! On the following day, I will conduct my normal routine, many may ask if I will be OK doing this. but the reality is a huge amount of employees within businesses face this on a daily basis!
Please could you help me raise awareness and funds for fantastic charity ... please add a small donation and share the link to my page.

There are at least 320,000 homeless people in Britain...
There are as many as 380,000* Hidden Homeless people in Britain today ( sleeping on sofas, in cars, sofa surfing whilst going to work) . That is almost equivalent to a population the size of Manchester, and one that looks likely to grow, with current trends indicating that it could reach the one million mark by 2022
Society is becoming more fragmented.
1 in 4 families in the UK are only one payday away from Crisis
There is so much stigma around being homeless ... Homeless does not mean Hopeless! Everyone deserves an opportunity to move
forward...
Please join me on my mission to support Gloucester City Mission.. 2020 was a hard year for most charities .. every donation will make a difference
Feel free to share with your teams
