The Great CATTs Climb · 1 May 2020 to 31 May 2020 ·
As I'm sure many of you are all too aware, cancer affects 1 in 2 UK people within our lifetime. Unfortunately for us, one of our close friends had it a few years ago. Thankfully, she is a strong, incredible survivor and is now working as part of an amazing charity to increase awareness of the signs and symptoms, which could save a life!
During all the time we have on our hands thanks to this pandemic, myself, Dionne, Jeevan and Alex decided to do something to keep us active, as well as give back. Cancer Awareness for Teens & Twenties (CATTs) have come up with the very creative idea of climbing the equivalent of Mount Kilimanjaro.. from our own homes! We have decided to do this as a team, this way hopefully we won't wear the carpet down on our stairs! It is the equivalent of 38, 680 steps. We've been given this challenge to do in 4 weeks with a number of 'checkpoints' along the way, just like the real Kili!
The money raised will go towards training volunteers, the distribution of informational beer mats, covering the cost of awareness events and so much more.
I'm sure you read it everywhere and we completely understand that money might be tight for some people right now, but every little helps. If you don't have flexible income to spend, donate as little as £1, but if this is still too much for the times then please help us by sharing this page!
Thank you,
Sammy, Dionne, Jeevan & Alex
