Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Over the past (almost) 10 years we have raised over £9,000 in Grandma Sandra's memory for Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support and Rosemere Cancer Foundation
My Grandma was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and a secondary brain tumour in Feb 2013. After several rounds of treatment and 16 months of brave fighting she sadly passed away in May 2014. My family and I will never stop talking about how amazing she was, and we set out to raise £10,000 in 10 years.
We will never forget Grandma Sandra, the memories she gave us, the lessons she taught us and the courage she demonstrated. The 10th year anniversary will be a celebration of Grandma's life, as we host a party to share love, memories and good times.
Each year I try to organise something different, to raise awareness and bring people together for something fun and fabulous
1st year- Triathlon, 2nd year- memory walk, 3rd year- big quiz
4th year- fancy dress, 5th year-body building competition, 6th year- Sam’s book “Over the Edge”, 7th year- London Marathon, 8th year-Party night and 9th year- Luke’s skydive.
This year... my family and I have organised a party to celebrate together. There will be a disco, raffle and fun party games on Saturday 18th May. Please contact Sam directly for more details.
Please support us and give whatever you can so we can help people facing cancer right now!
Thank you so much for your support
