I was diagnosed with epilepsy following the brain disease encephalitis. This probably altered the course of my life as it had such a profound effect on my memory. At times my epilepsy has been quite debilitating and led to barriers that I had to overcome. However I believe that in spite of acquiring a brain injury I have achieved a great deal and now have a wide understanding about disability. Although my seizures aren't fully controlled they are much, much better than when I was younger when the severity of my seizures led to me requiring brain surgery. Any money you are able to give would be invaluable and will help support people with epilepsy in such a vast range of ways.
