Darcey Samarakkody - Donating her hair

Elaine Samarakkody is raising money for Little Princess Trust

Donating Hair · 12 July 2021

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

I have decided to cut my long hair and donate it to the Little Princess Trust.  The Little Princess Trust is a registered charity who provide free real hair wigs to children and young people (up to 24 years) who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

I also hope to raise donations for the Little Princess Trust as these wigs cost over £500 each to make. The Trust also funds vital research working to end childhood cancers forever.

Please visit us at www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help us give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. We receive no formal funding. Please help to raise money for us so that we can help more families.

Many thanks to Megan at Tony & Guy in Southend who spent a lot of time cutting my hair and restyling it.

Thank you for visiting my page.  Darcey x
