Three peaks challenge for Samaritans · 14 May 2017

North London Samaritans provides emotional support 24 hours a day to people experiencing anxiety, distress, or suicidal feelings across the three large north London boroughs of Enfield Haringey and Barnet. As a branch it is entirely self-funding, receiving no money from the central organisation.

Story

The team: Darien, Will, Russ (hikers) and Rupaly (team driver and surgeon).

In July we will attempt the three peaks challenge. This will involve climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in the space of 24 hours. It's not easy.

Rough plan:
5pm -10 pm... Ben Nevis
10pm - 4am... Driving (Rupaly at the wheel!)
4am - 8am...... Scafell Pike
8am - 12 pm... Driving
12pm - 4 pm... Snowdon

We're doing this to raise money for a new centre for Samaritans volunteers in Bowes Park, North London. It is currently a dilapidated 'tin tabernacle' but will be turned into 'Shaftesbury Hall'. You can see the main fundraising site here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/North-London-Samaritans. But please donate on this one.

We think the cause of the Samaritans is very important and sometimes life-saving. It means a lot to each of us.

We hope that you will donate what you can!
