As I turn 40 this year, I’ve decided to finally take part in the Waendal Walk that a very good friend of mine has walked for years, but has always clashed with birthday activities.

The walk has grown in popularity from 470 participants in 1979 to over 5000 in previous years, and is attended by walkers from across the globe. 

Not only is this a landmark birthday, but as recently appointed chairman of Northants Community Aid, I wanted to participate in a landmark walk across Northamptonshire. 

Northants Community Aid is a Northamptonshire based charity set up and run by a group of impassioned local people. It is supported by local small businesses keen to give back to the communities they work with.

The support NCA provide contributes to projects across Northamptonshire from the young to the elderly in community settings.
