London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Why am I running a marathon for Pancreatic Cancer UK? My Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on the 22nd August 2018. We were all absolutely devastated (still to this day) and couldn't work out why or how this could have happened to a nicer person... He was the most unique person you could ever meet, an absolute one of a kind. His kindness and warmth could fill a hundred households. However, cancer doesn't discriminate. My Dad never once dropped his guard and always remained strong throughout the entirety of his illness. He spent his last 12 hours in Pilgrims Hospice in Ashford, and at 67 years and 4 days old, on the 12th of April 2019, he gave his last breath. I'm lucky to be part of such a close family, and no matter how unbelievably tragic this news was, we only got closer.

By donating today you're helping towards the research and eventual cure for one of the harshest cancers out there. My Dad unfortunately ran out of time, but what's to say this won't go towards helping someone else's.
