London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
So, I started running in a bid to get better at dog agility with my very naughty fast dog... and in the words of Forrest Gump, I just felt like running (or something like that). Fast forward 6 months and here I am. Signed up to the London Marathon 2019 for the most fantastic cause , Macmillan Cancer Support.
Cancer touches so many people's lives. It's scary. It doesn't care how young or old you are, what you do for a job, how good a person you are, it doesn't discriminate, it can happen to anyone at any time. When it does, Macmillan are there to help.
Everyone who knows me knows I'm not a natural runner, knows I have a million and one things going on in my life with a full time job, a 5 year old child and far too many animals. They also know I'm very determined and when I set my mind to something I go out to get it.
I am under no illusion , this will be the hardest thing I have ever done, but you know what? A few hours of discomfort running 26.2 miles is nothing compared to those with a cancer diagnosis or helping those around them on the receiving end of one.
Please give what you can for this fantastic charity.
