I am doing an Ironman Triathlon for the Samaritans Charity.

The Samaritans provide emotional support to anyone in distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide. If anyone would like to sponsor me, it will be gratefully received and be going to a fantastic charity.

£10 will cover the cost of 2 calls to their helpline, £96 could train and support an existing Samaritans volunteer for a whole year, and it costs about £500 to keep their phone lines open for one hour. 

An Ironman covers a total distance of 140.6 miles (226.2km)

• 2.4 mile swim (3.9km) 🏊🏼

UPDATE JULY 2022:    

I initially entered Ironman UK for July 2022, and covered 3,400 miles in training for the event over a 9 month period. Due to an injury, I made the decision to postpone my race until July 2023, and as a thank you to those who donated prior to then, swam 10km in open water on the same day as my initial race.
