Brain & Spine Foundation

We provide support and information to those affected by brain & spine problems

Charity Registration No. 1098528

This year I am running the Berlin marathon to help raise funds for The Brain & Spine Foundation.

Earlier this year my mother had a brain haemorrhage and was rushed to hospital where on the third attempt at brain surgery within 24 hours the surgery was sucessful. My mother has now made a complete recovery.

The Brain & Spine Foundation helps the 10 million people affected by brain & spine conditions in the UK. Please see the following web link for further information:

Starting and finishing near the Brandenburg Gate, one of Berlin's most famous landmarks, the Berlin marathon attracts a field of more than 40,000 athletes, who have been coming to run the 26.2-mile course every year since 1974. The course heads through the city, taking in some of Berlin's most notable landmarks including the Reichstag and Berliner Dom.

Yet again I’ve been plodding the local streets, canal towpaths, country roads, fields & woods to train for the marathon.

The Brain & Spine Foundation do a great job and are here for all of us if and when we need them, so I think they are a very worthy course.

All donations are greatly appreciated and will help push me along especially after mile 18 where it starts to hurt.

Please dig deep.  Thank you.
