London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·

We provide comfort and support to Parents and siblings following the loss of a baby or babies before, during or shortly after birth. We are working all over Sussex offering Bereavement Support, Specialist Bereavement Counselling* and Support Programmes for Mums and Dads. We are working alongside the Brighton Sussex and University Hospitals in Sussex to create gentle, calm spaces for families to spend time with their baby/ies within their Hospitals. We have undertaken a number of Refurbishment projects across the Early Pregnancy Units and Labour Wards and Day Assessment Units to date to ensure that parents can spend time with their baby or babies in a dignified, gentle and precious way before heartbreakingly saying goodbye. "We truly cannot thank you enough for creating such a safe, well equipped space for us to say hello and goodbye to our beautiful baby boys" We base our Charity on heartfelt, compassionate experiences to educate and raise awareness of loss for Parents & Siblings. Working closely with Healthcare professionals to ensure your voices are heard and your babies are honoured. We have a range of Resources, a Library, Information Packs and Bereavement Support Programmes available to support funded counselling. Our online Support Groups have allowed a dedicated space for Parents to explore their feelings, thoughts and share their grief journey with others. "This group has been a real lifeline for me during some of the hardest days of my life"

Story

On the 2nd of October 2022 I will be running the London Marathon to help raise money for Oscar’s Wish Foundation.

OWF are a charity based in Sussex who offer comfort and support to parents, family, friends and siblings who have experienced the devastating loss of a precious baby before, during or shortly after birth.

The amazing people at Oscar’s Wish helped my friends when they devastatingly lost their baby, Ethan, shortly after birth in September 2020.

Oscars Wish Foundation work all over Sussex offering bereavement support and specialist bereavement counselling. And through past fundraising OWF were able to open a specialist Labour Ward Bereavement Suite at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in 2018, helping my friends at a time when they needed it most, along with many other families.

Any money raised would help this charity continue with the amazing support they give to so many.
