The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

On Saturday 10th September I'll be setting off on my bike from Land's End, Cornwall and, all going to plan,  9 days later, after 969 miles and over 16,000m of climbing, I should arrive at John o'Groats at the northern tip of Scotland. If you like comparisons it's like cycling from London to Rome while cycling two Everests. Welp.

The cause

I'm raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support UK in memory of my uncle and grandfather who died from cancer, and in support of my mother who recovered from cancer last year. Our family have experienced first hand the importance of emotional and physical support during the difficult months of diagnosis and treatment, and Macmillan are experts in this area.

Anything you can give in support would be greatly appreciated. What's more, every pound I raise will kindly be matched by Google, so your kindness is being doubled.

Please give generously so that together we can make those suffering from cancer's lives a that much easier. Thanks for your contribution!

(p.s. all money will go directly to the Charity, not on Sudocrem as some have suggested)
