I’ve joined up with my local charity, Children of Adam to fundraise for water pumps as a sadaqah jariyah for all mothers in the world, may Allah swt give the best of Jannah to those that have sadly passed away and may Allah swt bless the mothers that are still with us and give us all the ability to honour them as they truly deserve Insha’Allah.

 
For those that know me, few years ago my wife sadly lost her battle to cancer and passed away leaving two beautiful young daughters behind, there is one thing grieving as a husband but there is something more when a child grieves for their mother. Allah swt has truly put a bond in the hearts of mothers and their children and its only with HIS swt mercy that we are blessed to have that connection with our mothers.

 
This Sunday the 2nd of January I will Insha’Allah be hosting a Cake and food sale with all proceeds going towards providing water pumps to the rural areas of Pakistan, it is said one in five children wont ever get to see their fifth birthday and sadly pass away due to drinking unsafe water and developing diarrhea and other water borne diseases.

 
Please do come along and support this appeal, even if we can save one child it will be worth it as it will also save one less mother grieving for her child.

About the Appeal 

Nearly one billion people have no access to safe drinking water, One of every five deaths of children under the age of 5 is due to a water related disease. Close to 80% of illness in developing nations is believed to be connected to poor water and sanitation issues.Building water wells and hand pumps are a significant initial step to our community development approach in empowering people to live their best life. By providing fresh water we can improve the conditions within that community.By donating in water projects it also makes an excellent form of sadaqa jaariya for loved ones (including those who have passed away), as both you and the recipient continue reaping rewards as long as the project is bringing benefit to people, animals and crops.
