Story

I am thrilled to say I will be running London Marathon 2023 for Mind. This will be my 9th marathon - my first at London and I still can’t believe I have a place!

I started running after losing my dad to pancreatic cancer in 2016. It gave me a way to find strength and focus on something more positive. I’m not just running for my dad, but our lovely neighbour Imogen who sadly passed away last February aged just 17. Imogen was always so kind and friendly to my girls - walking to school super early with my Emma when she was started High School, even though she was in Y11 and could have easily spent an extra half an hour in bed! I remember her skateboarding around the close with her little brother and their genuine smiles and laughter. Mel, John and Archie are wonderful, kind people and a real source of inspiration for me. It is a real honour to run for Immy.

I’ve watched the London Marathon more times than I can remember - more often than not with my dad, as we discussed how marathon runners were bonkers. WHO would choose to do that?! And now look….

Thank you for anyone who can spare any donation at this difficult time. I am SO grateful and it means a lot.

LET'S GO LONDON!
