Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2009 at the age of 64. I helped my dad research into the disease and what symptoms he would experience.

That journey with him sparked my interest in knowing more about dementia. He passed away in 2019 and his passing has left a huge hole in my heart but an abundance of memories for me to cherish.

Whilst there is no cure, I’d like to do as much as I possibly can to raise awareness and support for those living with dementia and those caring for individuals with dementia and help provide funding for the very much needed research required to help slow down the symptoms associated with dementia.

It would mean the world to me if you could sponsor me. 75 miles is a huge feat for me as it was only 4 months ago that I had a hip replacement.

Harry will be by my side, as always, and we’re looking forward to walking those 75 miles in some of our favourite locations.

Thank you 🧡

I'm taking on the 75 Mile Dog Walk in May to raise money for the one million people that are living with dementia in the UK today.

The first treatments that can slow Alzheimer's disease are now on the horizon. We are at a tipping point in dementia research.

Every penny goes towards driving forward the search for a cure. Whether you donate £5 or £50, every little bit helps.
