As a family we are doing a number of events this year in memory of Sammy's Dad, who unfortunately lost his long battle with Lymphoma earlier this year.

 

Laura and Emma

 

 

We are running in the Great Yorkshire Mini and Junior runs on Satuday 1st September and Great North Mini and Junior runs on Saturday 15th September.

 

Laura is taking part in the junior runs which are 2.5k and 4k whilst Emma is doing the mini run which is 1.5k.

  

Sammy and Jo

 

 

We are doing 4 events each between June and October:

 

1.    The first was in June when Jo did the 2 mile Great North Swim in a rather chilly Lake Windermere.

2.    Sammy then did her first open water swim, the 1 mile Great Salford Swim on a wet 1st July morning.

3.    We are both then doing the Leeds Triathlon on 9 September, which is a 1.5km swim, 44km cycle ride and a 10km run!

4.    On 16 September we will be doing the Great North Run, which for those of you that don't know is a half marathon (13.1 miles)

5.    And finally on 6  and 7 October, we are doing The New Forest 100 mile sportive – 100 miles on a bike, in 1 day!
