Samuel's page in memory of Keith McMahon

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Over the coming months and years I will be doing various events to help raise awareness for vasculitis. All funds raised will be donated to the Vasuclitis UK charity in memory of my late father, Keith McMahon.
My dad was just 61 when he was taken ill with vasculitis in August 2013. He developed severe ulcers on his leg and this resulted in a sustained period in Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. In May 2014 he had his right leg amputated above the knee. He came home in June and was beginning to adapt to life with one leg but he was readmitted to hospital with pneumonia a few weeks later. Despite fighting until the very end, he passed away at Calderdale Royal Hospital on August 11th 2014.
My dad was an amazing guy, He was extremely fit and loved his sport, especially golf and football. He was my best friend and not a day goes by where I don't miss him incredibly.
The hole he has left behind is huge but the only comfort I take is knowing he is free of the horrendous pain he endured during the final 12 months of his life. Vasculitis is a horrible disease although very little is known about it. My mission is to raise as much money as possible for Vasculitis UK in order that other families do not have to go through the terrible ordeal that mine went through.
Please support in whatever way you can. Any donations will be gratefully received.
