Sam's splendid head shave!

Corinna Preston is raising money for Stroke Association
In memory of Roger Kendell
Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

My dad died of a massive bleed on the brain at the beginning of October 2020. Ever since he found out, Sam has been very enthusiastic about raising some money in his grandpa's memory by shaving his head. So much so, that he came home from school one day with a hand written sponsorship form with loads of pledges from classmates and teachers! I used to work for The Stroke Association (in Fundraising!) so it's a pleasure to be helping them out again. When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
