because specialeffect has helped me for years. As my health has got worse they have been there to change my setup to something better suited to my new situation. I have a one handed controller with a mouth joystick and i have recently been sent some more things to try out.
i will be going up and and down my room (its actually two rooms with an opening in between, so is the length of my house), which is 8.50 meters until i get to 5km. I am doing it inside as it is difficult for me to be outside for various reasons.
I have complex medical conditions which impacts my life and prevents me living the life I want.
My physical disability and constant pain mean even the most mundane daily activities that most people don’t even think about doing are really difficult for me and it takes a toll on my mental health.
Through gaming I can transport to a virtual world and become engrossed in activities and adventures. I can be distracted from the difficulties in my life for a while.
Gaming is a vital therapy for me and helps me to cope with the pain.
