Story
Just bringing home to me how important Macmillan Cancer Care is, a very good friend of mine has just been told that her mum is suspected of having cancer. She doesn't know what to do with herself, how do you react to that sort of news? It is devastating. This is where Macmillan's expertise in providing care and support for those affected by cancer comes in. For people like my friend and her mum they can be invaluable.I know several other people who have had cancer, my Cousin died from it a few years ago, but friends since have survived. When you consider the statistics that one in three people is likely to get cancer, then sponsoring a few pounds to help Macmillan continue their good work has to be a good thing.
I am still collecting sponsorship - this ride was the hardest thing I have ever done - 476km in 4 days, so many hills I couldn't see myself ever arriving in Paris, but I did, we all did. It was a hugely emotional experience and I cannot express how hard the challenge was, the comraderie along the way and when it all seemed too much the reasons we were all doing it, words are not enough to explain, if you have never done anything like it you cannot know how we all felt upon finally arriving at the Eiffel Tower. But know that the money you are giving in sponsorship changes lives, so thank you for sponsoring me.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Anything you are able to donate will really make a big difference.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
