Yorkshire Marathon 2018 · 14 October 2018 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thank you so much for visiting my justgiving page. I am running my first ever marathon in York for Alzheimer's Society.

My mum, Elisabeth, passed away in 2004. She, and both her sisters had dementia. And now, just 2 weeks ago, my father in law passed away, being diagnosed with the same condition.

By taking on this huge challenge I hope I can support the charity's investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention.

Thank you very much for any donation!

Alzheimer's Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
