Rosie's Trust is the only charity in Northern Ireland that is dedicated to supporting people who are unable to look after their companion pets independently and have no other support. This includes people who are receiving cancer treatment, end of life care or elderly people with a disability.

Story

My pets give so much to me and make my life happier, they have brought many great friends and experiences into my life and they are a lifeline during difficult times. They have helped get me through some really tough times and I can't image life without them. I need them as much as they need me and so if I was ever in a position where my health prevented me from being able to look after them I would hope that there would be someone out there who could help me to look after them and keep them in my life because I know they would be a massive part of getting me through whatever I was going through. This is what Rosies Trust do. Their mission is to maintain and support the special relationship and bond between owners and their pets. They do this when this relationship is threatened by the impact of the owners terminal illness, advancing age or acute cancer treatment. Their principle aim is to enable the owner and their pet to stay together. Their services are offered at no cost to their clients and they are proud to enable the continuing relationship between people and their pets.
