Many of you know that my mum, Mary, died recently on the 16th of April 2013 after a very short illness.  During those two weeks she was cared for by the staff at St Luke's Hospice and treated with the respect and kindness that she had shown to so many others throughout her life. We, her family and friends, were given the opportunity to stay with mum and were welcomed and supported throughout. Mum's room had a patio door to a beautiful garden and everything that could be done, was done, to ensure mum's life ended as peacefully as it could.

St Luke's provide all their services free of charge and over 75% of their funding is raised by fundraising.  £140 pays for medication for a patient for a day.  If every midnight walker raised £140 they would be able to pay for over 4 years' worth of medicines for local people.

So please dig deep and donate now.
