I know all charities need funding at the moment but I so want to help the Encephalitis Society who have been hugely supportive to me and Graham since I was ill with encephalitis over 22 years ago. The brain virus I had left me with severe memory problems and uncontrolled epilepsy which often leaves me very tired, and on occasions not able to go out. The Society have helped me so much and I don't know where we would have been without them. They provide support, they raise awareness, and they help fund research. They get no government money. They help organise events where I get to talk to other people who have been affected, and it is amazing how much this helps to speak to people who understand what I've been through. They are always there for me and everyone else who needs them.
