As some may know, we sadly lost our dear Neil on 11th September 2022, at the age of 69. 

He was such a wonderful, funny and kind man and is so sorely missed by his wife, Sandie, and the whole family.

The stillbirth and neonatal death charity (Sands) has always been very close to Neil’s heart, as Sandie and Neil’s first child, Joseph, was sadly stillborn in 1984. In the same year, 4,183 stillborn deaths were documented, which is why we chose this number as our target for fund raising.

We will be starting our trek from Grimsby Town Football Ground, Blundell Park, as Neil was an avid fan, on the 9th September 2023, and then walking 69km, finishing in Skegness on the 10th September.

Every pound counts and we would be very thankful for any donation no matter how big or small.

P.S If anyone is keen to join us for a some or all of the walk you’re most welcome! Some of Neil’s family will be joining for all or part of it too, so should be a nice group going.
