The Sandstone Trail Walk 2007 · 8 January 2007
A core of the most unfit, unhealthy Cheshire non-ramblers have set ourselves the ridiculous challenge of completing the sandstone trail ( 34 miles) in one day.
Simon Lees Jones, Richard Chesworth, Mark Holt, Stephen Bennett, Jonathon Young, and James Hall to name but a few aim to raise as much as we can for Smiletrain.
We are intending to separate the route into 4 ‘bitesize’ segments and would be delighted for anyone to join us for all or any part. Food and drink stops will be organised en-route and any moral support will be greatly appreciated.
In light of this, we are hoping to ‘sell’ you a place and to join our merry band for as far as you like, at a giveaway price of £50 (minimum) per rambler. For this minute sum, you will get the chance to regale us a good yarn on a lovely walk through some beautiful countryside and the opportunity to give some money to a well deserved cause and the possibility of lunch/tea/coffee etc at the various stops.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it, we will still accept your donation and you can join us ‘in spirit’ on the day.
In order to make it easier for you to part with your cash, and easier for us to get the most out of you, we have also got a website address where you can directly make your donation……THERE REALLY IS NO EXCUSE FOR NOT GIVING US SOMETHING!
Just think….We are going to put ourselves through hell….that has got to be worth something!
ALSO, WE HARDLY NEED TO POINT OUT THAT THERE WILL OF COURSE BE PLENTY OF JOHN WILLIE LEES BEER AT EACH AND EVERY STOP.
