Story

I've been taking part in the Swimathon for Marie Curie and Cancer Research since 2007, 2019 being the last one because of Covid, when my husband and I did a 180 Great Daffodil Appeal Walk, our target being £180 - the cost to Marie Curie to provide one night's care in a terminally ill patient's home.  Not only did we raise enough to cover the cost of one night, which was our target, but 8.5 nights!  My swim will be for the Menai Fundraising Group rather than the nationally run Swimathon.  I'm not a great swimmer - never have been, but I do enjoy a splash in the sea every week with four friends, and this mile swim is a REAL challenge to me so I need all your support please.  I know it's going to take me quite some time so I only hope my Husband David can stay awake long enough to count my lengths - Perhaps David is the one who ought to be sponsored!

Money raised for my swim will be used to support the nursing services of this incredible charity - the only charity to provide overnight end of life care in patient's own homes.  I REALLY WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT IN HELPING ME TO RAISE, NOT ONLY MUCH NEEDED FUNDS, BUT AWARENESS FOR THIS GREAT CHARITY.  THANK YOU.
