My wee brother, Sandy, lost his year long battle with a rare and agressive form of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma [Burkitt's Lymphoma] on June 17th, 2014 at the obscenely young age of 43.

He fought it courageously and always in good humour.

Advances in medical and scientific research represent the only way to prevent other families going through the tragedy that we have endured.
