Story
There are over 65 million orphans in Asia. Many have no mother, father, relative or carers to look after them. So they’re forced to live on the streets and look after themselves. They suffer from inadequate nutrition and disease and are exploited and abused.
One of the most important things in an orphan’s life is a safe and secure roof over their head. This is why we are raising money to establish and run a network of orphanages or orphan villages. The aim is to set these up where existing orphanages don’t meet local needs or where there are presently none.
- There will be 24 self-contained houses accommodating 12 children each.
- A school and play area.
- Children will be cared for by “live-in mothers”, employed by Orphans in Need.
- These “mothers” will be widows who will provide love, care and guidance to the children. They will be assisted by domestic helpers who will help look after the orphans.
During these winter cold days please spare a moment for these children. Lets help to build and secure their future. Every child deserves it.
