Story
On Sunday 3rd December, festive members of the Sense International team will join 4,000 Santas at Victoria Park to run 5km in the annual London Santa Run. We are raising funds for our very own 'My Turn to Learn' appeal supporting children and young people with deafblindness in Bangladesh to access an education. We ho-ho-hope you'll sponsor us!!
The 'My Turn to Learn' appeal was launched in October and runs until 17 January 2018. Over this period, Sense International aims to raise £450,000 to transform the lives of children with deafblindness in Bangladesh, and some of the poorest countries in the world. Building on 20 years of experience, we will work with children and young people with deafblindness and their families so that they are able to learn at home or attend a mainstream school, training teachers and Special Educators to help them access a quality education. We will also provide vocational training opportunities for young people with deafblindness, ensuring they are included in their communities and able to gain independence.
Your donation can make a big difference, no matter the size! All personal donations made until 17 January 2018 will be matched pound-for-pound by the UK government. Our target for the Santa Run is £250 - this will increase to £500 with government matching! Should we be successful in exceeding the overall target for the 'My Turn to Learn' appeal, your donations will be used where they are needed most.
