Story
My Dad very sadly lost his battle with oesophageal cancer on the 21st May 2017 at the age of 60 years old.
He spent his last 17 days in Myton Hospice, who provided the most exceptional and comforting care, not only for him, but for us all as a family. The staff were not just carers or nurses, they were a shoulder to cry on, a warm hug, a tea maker - some of them even sing!!
Even in the saddest of times, they would try to help lift spirits and be there in our time of need.
Something that surprised me was the fact that Myton's services are provided completely free of charge.
They rely solely on donations and fund raising to offer the amazing services they provide people and families who are in need. Annually, to provide these services, The Myton Hospice need to raise £8,000,000 every year ongoingly.
Therefore, I feel it is only right that I do my bit to help raise funds to help them hit their goal, as I have seen first-hand what an amazing and tough job they do.
My colleagues at Iperium will be joining me on the Mudnificent 7 which is a 7-kilometer obstacle course designed by 7 different race organisations. It's not going to be pretty!!
We will try keep you updated on training progress in the run up to the event.
All donations no matter how small are very welcome!
Dad - this one is for you X
