Vegan challenge · 20 January 2018

We rescue, treat and rehabilitate sick, orphaned, injured & distressed wild animals & birds throughout Leicestershire and the surrounding region. The hospital is run by a team of dedicated volunteers and treats all casualties free of charge. Every penny given helps us to save even more wild lives.

Story

I have always been an animal lover and have previously cared for animals in need but since my mum has started volunteering at Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital I have come to learn a lot more about the care and dedication needed to help the wildlife of Leicester. The animals need to be cared for when injured, orphaned and in need of assistance. This relies on the volunteers giving their time but also donations to help fund the centre.

Since educating myself on the life of a vegan and the fact that I have always been a meat eater, the first part of this challenge will be very restrictive for me. It is something I am keen to experience and would greatly appreciate your support. Feel free to join me if you wish?! ;-)

The first part is becoming a vegan for the month of March.

The second part of the challenge will see me complete a half marathon on Saturday 24th March.

Thank you to everyone  who has taken the time to read this and especially those who support the challenges.

Sara xx
