As many you know, almost two years ago my sister Becci was critically ill and in intensive care with encephalitis. Following this she continued to be unwell, having frequent seizures and last September was diagnosed with epilepsy. Becci has shown amazing resilience and strength but, understandably, there have been some difficult times. Having had to try several different medications, in an attempt to try and reduce the frequency of her seizures, some have unfortunately made her even more unwell.

The Epilepsy Society has provided a broad range of information which has been immensely helpful in terms of understanding the condition. As such, in her role as a primary school teacher, she was able to show the children videos to help explain what epilepsy is. As well as supporting individuals with epilepsy, and their families, the Epilepsy Society conducts research that helps us all understand more about epilepsy and determine the best treatment for individuals. 

We are really keen to raise some money to support the Epilepsy Society in continuing their great work. During a difficult and uncertain time, they provided invaluable information, support and advice. Becci has overcome many challenges, with such positivity, and support from the charity has helped immensely. We would be very grateful for any donations to a cause which is very close to our hearts.
