I am running 38 miles with "Run Your Age" for Age UK this January.

RUN YOUR AGE 2023 · 1 January 2023 to 31 January 2023 ·
This January I am taking part in Run Your Age to raise funds to support Age UK and help older people facing the toughest of winters.
I turn 38 on the 11th of January, so this challenge is the perfect way to celebrate and get back into fundraising at the same time. But, running 38km would have been too easy, so I thought, why not 38 miles? That's way more than I've run in a month in a loooong time, and achieving this goal in winter, with shorter, colder days is going to be even more challenging. It has to be worth it for you to donate, right?? I've set £380 as my fundraising target (see what I did there?) and I'd like to ask anyone who would have given me a card or a gift to donate to this cause instead, please.
The funds raised will help with Age UK's mission to ensure that every older person has someone to turn to, whether that is answering calls to our advice line, campaigning harder for older people's rights and fair treatment or providing regular friendship calls to people who are lonely. Support me today!
PS: Should my knee start bothering me again, I pledge to alternate walking and running to complete the remaining distance by the 31st of January.
Thank you all for your support and generosity 🙏
