Story

We are are fundraising for Blossom Suite at Broomfield hospital who have provided us with never ending love and support since our daughter Poppy was born sleeping on 20th October 2018 💕 Myself, my husband and our 4 children will be walking from our home in Billericay to Broomfield hospital on Sunday 18th October. We will be walking in memory of our beautiful Poppy and in remembrance of all the Blossom Suite babies.

What Blossom Suite means to us 🌸

When we went into hospital to have Poppy we already knew she had gone to the angels. We were having a planned induction. From the moment we stepped into the hospital and stood at the doors of labour ward each and every midwife treated us with care, compassion and love. We were treated with the utter most respect; they hugged us, cried with us, reassured us and most importantly treated Poppy with the love and dedication they would any other baby. Two of these midwives are still part of our lives today.

Once Poppy was here they enabled us to make as many memories as possible. Our precious girl was blessed and anointed, we had hand and foot casts done, hand and foot prints done, beautiful pictures taken by their bereavement photographer who came to us in the middle of the night, clothes to dress Poppy, memory boxes and so much more. Our greatest gift was the gift of time with her which was only possible due to Blossom Suite having a cuddle cot.

Once leaving the hospital our care did not stop there. Our amazing Bereavement midwife Tabitha came into our lives and has become our angel on earth. She ensured Poppy was looked after at the hospital and on her trip to Addenbrooks, she visited us in the safety of our own home, she provided books for us, memory boxes and sibling bags for our children, she allowed me to spend time in the Blossom Suite and in the room where Poppy was born and has made labour ward a safe place for me again. She has provided me with the support of some truly inspirational angel mummy's and there is always someone in our little community to offer support anytime of day. Tabitha is only ever a message or a phone call away.

Tabitha has been with us every step of the way since we lost our beautiful girl. Her love and support just cannot be put into words for me, Rob and our children.

In December 2019 we had our rainbow and the love and dedication has not wavered. Tabitha is still there when my anxiety is bad, she saw me at every hospital appointment with Lenny as she knew how hard and terrifying every appointment was for me, she dropped everything when I had a major wobble at one particular appointment and she always has the ability to make me smile. And in all of this Poppy is forever present and never ever forgotten.

So to us Blossom Suite has been our life line. Much of what is provided is only possible through donations and fundraising. Tabitha does so much in her own time and her dedication to all her angel families is beyond anything that would ever be expected of her.

So if you can help in the smallest of ways to bring this love and support to the Blossom families we would be eternally grateful. We never ever imagined we would be here 💔
