Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On November 4th, 2013 I will be embarking on a very special journey,  travelling to Brazil as a volunteer Arts Educator to deliver workshops to vulnerable children and young people in one of the largest favelas in São Paulo, Eldorado.

I will be living and working in the favela for 6 months, supporting the wonderful work being carried out by the Charlotte Miller Art Project (CMAP) in partnership with the Associação de Apoio à Criança em Risco (ACER) and Inter-Cultural Youth Exchange (ICYE-UK).

CMAP is an international arts charity that supports disadvantaged children and young people’s personal and social development through art.

ACER - Brasil works with street children in São Paulo offering social support and different activities. The organisation supports over three thousand children, young people and adults.

 

In order to make this possible I need to raise over £3200. This will enable me to live and work in the favela to deliver CMAP's art programme from October this year through to March 2014!

 

I hope I can count on you to help make this project a reality! Raising this amount is by no means an impossible feat for if 320 people donate £10 each I will reach my target!
