Story

Myself and my best friend, Nicky are going to run the Bupa Great Birmingham Run half marathon on October 19th to raise much needed funds for Operation Ollie.

Ollie Dodds is a 3 year old friend of ours who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy. This means he cannot walk. If we can raise £50,000, we can afford to send Ollie to the St Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri, USA to a surgeon who can perform a very specialised operation that would give Ollie the best chance of being able to walk.  The hospital and its surgeons are amazing, they have a lot of success stories. We would like to help Ollie become one of them.

You can read more about Ollie’s story here: http://www.treeofhope.org.uk/operation-ollie/

So, we figured, if Ollie has the determination to learn how to walk, we have the determination to run a half marathon to raise some much needed funds.

Please donate whatever you can. And please share this page and help us reach more people.

Also, if you are free on the 19th, why not come and cheer us on?

Thank you
