A gigantic well done to Ije McDougall for putting on a fantastic charity ball for The Kairos Initiative . This might sound grim but through losing my son Teddy and Tilly being in the NICU this is how I found this incredible inspiring lady, good things can happen from horrendous situations.

The evening was spectacular, but the highlight was seeing the children from her Orphanage in Nigeria live on a video call. Those children had a roof over their heads, food in their belly, access to education and medical professionals and most importantly they were happy.

💗 Did you know that to put a child through an apprenticeship it only costs £200❗❗ this includes..

💗 Sponsoring a child through a 9 month (at least) apprenticeship in a vocation of their choice.

💗 There is a list of 16 vocations they can choose from.

💗 If they complete the course, we will provide them with basic equipment ( e.g Sewing machine, Tool box, Secondhand Laptop, Hairdresser's kit etc) and either pay their rent or find them a workspace for a year.

These children have suffered so much at the hands of violent extremism in their area, have lost their parents and family or thier family is misplaced and they don't know where they are.

At our last MIBA Networking Wirral meeting Ije was our guest speaker, and many of us decided we would love to help sponsor at least 1 child through an apprenticeship, so I'm going to start the ball rolling, I am going to fundraise so that Ije can carry on doing this amazing work for her charity...
