Bash For Bev is an event that is being held in my brothers name on 2/9/2016 at Pumpherston Golf club 7pm-12pm. There will be a DJ, raffle and various other things going on all night which will help raise funds. All proceeds will be donated to a specialised research facility which is currently studying Myocarditis in the young at the British Heart Foundation
Chris died suddenly on the 20th of December 2015 from an unexpected and undiagnosed heart condition. He was only 35 years old.
Chris was a fitness fanatic, personal trainer and Scottish Powerlifting Champion.
Chris was a son, brother, uncle, partner, nephew, friend and father to twin 8 year old boys. We have all been left devastated and this is my way of trying to help other families avoid going through what we have had to recently.
Every week in the UK, 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. This in my opinion is 12 too many.
We have successful raised over £1700 already and are looking to do all we can to raise as much money for the British Heart Foundation.
These funds will be used to help the invaluable investigation and research into such heart conditions as Myocarditis and Cardiomegaly.
I've always had my big brother, always.
He was there from the start.
MY big brother. That's just what I've always known. My big brother being, well, my big brother.
Someone I looked up to, someone I was desperate to be like and be liked by.
Him helping me up when I fell, the feet fights we had on the sofa, always telling him stuff before anyone else , him giving me a dead arm then begging I didn't tell mum. Him pretending not to care as it "wasn't cool" but seeing him growl at guys I was talking to in the club over the bar.
Watching my daughter laugh and squeal as "strong" uncle Chris lifted her over his head with one hand.
My life will never be the same now he's not here.
I truly miss my big brother x
