Cutting My Hair For The Little Princess Trust · 20 April 2014

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

My long hair has been my security blanket for most of my life and I understand how devastating it can be when your hair is taken from you.

In 2 weeks, on Easter Sunday I'll be chopping off between 12 and 14 inches of my hair for The Little Princess Trust, who make real hair wigs for children who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment (primarily).

The reason why I've started a fundraiser to accompany the big chop is because even though the wigs are made for free with donated hair, the demand for them is so high that the charity uses donated funds to purchase the additional wigs for the children who require them.

I'll be getting my hair cut whether my target of £300 is reached or not, but a donation of any amount will sincerely appreciated.

I'd also like to dedicate this event to my Grammy who kicked cancer's ass in 2013.

We are all so proud of you!
