Our daughter Holly suffered a stroke aged just 10. The care and treatment she received at Addenbrooke's Hospital was truly amazing. All the staff, nurses, doctors, consultants everyone who helped Holly were so kind, caring and brilliant at their jobs. Holly ended up needing a very specialised procedure to remove a blood clot from her brain and insert a stent into one of her arteries. This is a cutting edge medical procedure and the specialist who performed this was truly superb. We were so fortunate that this procedure was able to be performed at Addenbrooke's. As a result of this, Holly is making a remarkable recovery. We will never ever forget what everyone at Addenbrooke's did for Holly; thank you does not seem enough and this is why we are so passionate about raising money for the new Children's hospital so that other children will have the chance, if ever needed, to get the best care any parent could want for their child.
