Dreamflight gives children with serious illnesses or disabilities the holiday of a lifetime – from magical trips to Orlando to UK adventures that build confidence and independence. These experiences help children grow, feel celebrated, and discover their potential.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My son was diagnosed with kidney disease just before his second birthday. Since then, he has been on a constant cocktail of medications, undergone biopsies, x-rays, tests and trials and regular blood tests. In October this year he was lucky enough to be selected to go on Dreamflight: the holiday of a lifetime.

Dreamflight is a UK charity that changes young lives through taking children with a serious illness or disability, without their parents, on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida.

For most of us, a holiday is just a break: a time to relax, take a break from work and maybe get a tan. For the children that go on Dreamflight, it is a rare occasion to be away from home, parents, doctors, hospitals: the often hard reality of their day to day lives, and just be kids.

The cost of the trip is covered completely by charitable donations and I will be trying my hardest to raise enough to send one child next year so £1 or £100, whatever you can afford, please give what you can to help a child be a child and have the holiday of a lifetime!
