Story

The Mental Health Foundation is the UK’s charity for everyone’s mental health. With prevention at the heart of what they do, the Mental Health Foundation aim to find and address the sources of mental health problems so that people and communities can thrive.

So those close to me know I continually have to work hard to manage my anxiety. Those closer to me also know I have had a couple of bouts of depression that fortunately I’ve come through. So it’s apt I run for a charity that seeks to support and guide those who quietly battle their demons everyday.

The London Marathon has long been a goal of mine and so being selected to run for the Mental Health Foundation was brilliant news.

I have a lot of hard work to do to get physically ready and also to smash this target. I can promise you from the bottom of my heart I will be nothing but truly grateful to everyone who is generous enough to donate whatever they can manage.

Together we can work to ensure mental health is on everyone’s agenda. That we can just look out for each other, be considerate and never underestimate the power of a healthy mind. x
