Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As many of you will be aware, I am turning 40 towards the end of this year. I have never run before so I set myself the challenge of running 13.1 miles in the Great North Run before I hit 40. I applied for a place in the ballot and got a space so fate agreed with my plan. Running started in February amidst the snow, rain, hail and freezing temperatures, oh, and the Beast from the East. That didn’t stop me!

The Sunshine Fund recently paid for a specialist bed for our son, Oliver, who has additional needs. It was such an amazing thing for them to give to us and it has been life changing for Oliver and for our family. To know he is safe at night, is such a relief. To show our appreciation, it seemed only right that I chose them as my charity for this run. 

Any penny that you are able to donate will be gratefully received by the Sunshine Fund and by families such as ours who have children with disabilities who need help funding valuable equipment. Your sponsorship will even help and encourage me to get round the 13.1 miles! Thank you in anticipation.
