Sahara Trek 2019 · 28 September 2019

An organised 5 day trek through the Sahara Desert raising money to keep the helicopter in the skies above Lincs and Notts.

Story

Having once been rescued by an Air Ambulance after sustaining potentially serious injuries in a cycling accident, I felt there was no better way to show my appreciation than trekking 100km across the Sahara Desert to raise funds for the charity!

Through my work with the Lincolnshire Emergency Services I feel I have a community connection with the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance. I have seen these guys in action countless times, saving lives and providing emergency treatment to those in the most urgent need. This charity relies solely on charitable donations and receives no government funding.

This is such a worthwhile cause, one which nobody wants to think about using, but in reality any one of us could find ourselves or a loved one relying on it in an emergency.

I’ve never done anything like this trek before so it is a bit daunting - but I know it will be an experience of a lifetime! Please donate and help me smash my sponsorship goal!
