Story

Update:  we are going for the double.  the equivalent of 7488 staircase steps which is a little more than climbing Snowdon.

As a family we are taking part in the 2.6 challenge.  Having worked within the sector for many years, I see first hand the challenges that are faced during ‘normal’ times.  And now.......this crisis puts the future of many charities at risk.

To do our bit, we pledge to climb up and down the 72 steps 26 times between us.  That is 3744 steps, approximately 250 flights of stairs.

If we hit our fundraising target then we will even do it twice!   That will make it approximately the equivalent to climbing Snowdon.....

Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
